![]() ![]() ![]() Similar to the change for Java Snapshots to a Dirt block, Bedrock Previews now has the same icon switch, this time with a plain 2D block of Dirt. This vulnerability poses a potential risk of your computer being compromised, and while this exploit has been addressed with all versions of the game. This exploit affects many services including Minecraft Java Edition. Keeping the 2D aesthetic (as opposed to the 3D of Java Edition), this icon has been simplified in terms of the number of pixels, but makes the one remaining more appropriately sized for 2023. Earlier today, we identified a vulnerability in the form of an exploit within Log4j a common Java logging library. Closer to the iconic grass block icon we all know and love, this one still suggests that the snapshot builds require a little more growth before they're fully ready to enter the game. Originally a Crafting Table, the Java Snapshot icon is now a dirt block. The new Java Edition icon is still the classic Grass block, but now has more vibrant colors, and punchier pixels to make the icon really pop! ![]() The new Minecraft: Java Edition logo is practically identical to the original one, but the text is now sharper and should be more legible for all players. ![]()
